Job Description:

Position: Store Manager

Josephs Store Managers are responsible for day-to-day total store operations including customer service, training and development of all store associates, labor management, cash and inventory control, asset protection, store conditions, and performance management.

Routine Tasks:

-Ensures customer service from all associates is up to the Josephs standard

-Maintains Josephs standards for product freshness and sanitation

-Identifies staffing needs, works with HR to recruit and onboard talented associates

-Follows up on training and people development programs

-Ensures all products and display cases are replenished, maintained, and rotated

-Works with Financial Controller on budgeting and achieving company goals

-Responsible for profit and loss and income statement results

-Responsible for employee safety and store cleanliness

-Writes and approves labor schedules, ensure labor schedules are adhered to and controls payroll costs

-Writes and approves orders to be submitted to buyer

-Ensures each departments inventory is properly managed, preventing out of stocks and abundances that lead to waste

-Review and approve period ending inventory counts

-Assists with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

-Ability to deliver friendly, respectful, timely customer service

-Ability to lead a team and hold people accountable

-Ability to manage profit and loss and income statements

-Ability to interpret and follow instructions

-Ability to work well with others

-A passion for serving people

A store manager performs their tasks primarily in their particular location and may be asked to visit other Josephs locations. Must have the ability to clearly articulate the companys goals and follow up on tasks and projects to achieve those goals. Must be able to resolve conflicts and promote a positive environment where all store associates enjoy coming to work. Work involves walking, standing for prolonged periods, and lifting products weighing up to 80 pounds. Work also includes frequent interaction with customers and fellow employees.
