As a Store Team Leader, you will be responsible for making sure that the store runs successfully. You will be in charge of making sure that all team members give great customer service. Your daily duties include hiring, scheduling staff and training qualified store employees, taking inventory of products or placing orders as needed, monitoring the financial performance of the store, and assisting Team Members in handling customer's questions or complaints. We are seeking an individual with exceptional management and leadership skills. The ideal candidate also possesses excellent customer service and financial planning skills. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in retail or grocery store operations is required.
  • Prior store management experience is preferred.
  • A background in pet, retail, or grocery store operations is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure that all store team members maintain a customer service-oriented operation.
  • Create employee schedules, assigning schedules and responsibilities to employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining an acceptable gross profit, proper inventory management, and operations reporting of store activities.
  • Order merchandise and prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand.
  • Coordinate sales promotion activities and prepares or directs workers preparing merchandising displays.
  • Performs banking functions such as cash counting and deposit.
  • Verify responsibilities and assignments are carried through in the store in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by Petsway.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing education for employees.
  • Evaluate staff based on performance-based metrics.
  • Directly supervise all store employees.
  • Monitor and verify the vendor activity in the store.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and fire staff at the store.
