Purpose: The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are to Hotel specifications, in accordance with Food and Beverage requisitions, purchase orders, storing, handling and issuing of stock. Issues stock to F&B outlets paying close attention to quantity & units of measure. Essential Functions:
  • Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Checks each item on deliveries against invoice/packing slip, weighing, counting, verifying prices against specifications to verify accuracy of delivery.
  • Properly stores and rotates all stock merchandise on pallets or carts so that all items are fresh. Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
  • Notifies supervisors when shipment arrives or if the shipment fails to arrive so that any discrepancies can be resolved. Notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner. Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock. Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots. Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
  • Fills requisitions paying close attention to quantity, size/weight issued and advises supervisor of items that are low or out of stock so that they can be reordered.
  • Delivers supplies throughout hotel in timely fashion. Ensures proper paper work is issued and verifies delivery with party accepting supplies.
  • Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas. Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Assists in conducting month-end inventories, audits or recounts. Monitors and documents cooler and freezer temperatures to avoid spoilage.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year previous experience is a must. QualificationsWorking Conditions / Physical Demands / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA's): Command of the English language both written and verbal. Well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests' needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year hospitality experience.
