Essential Job Functions:
- Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and verify billing information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain billing records and customer accounts in the billing system.
- Respond to customer and subcontractor inquiries regarding billing questions, discrepancies, and payment arrangements promptly and professionally.
- Record payments received, reconcile payment discrepancies, and manage accounts receivable aging.
- Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts, including contacting clients, arranging payment plans, and escalating as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date billing and financial records.
- Prepare and distribute billing reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years Accounting experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadline
- Process driven while being adaptable to various approaches
- Utility construction experience - preferred
Additional Requirement:
- Most aspects of this hourly position can be conducted within a normal 8-hour workday Monday - Friday. However, Storm Services often operates outside normal working hours, which will require this individual to be accepting of a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when needed. Additional time will subject to overtime requirements and additional compensation when justified.
