For more information visit: www.vantagegrp.com or LinkedIn/vantage.POSITION SUMMARY: The Procurement, Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for Direct chemical spend categories including natural oils and derivatives. This role will develop and execute strategies to drive value and cost productivity across the Vantage Performance Solutions Business Unit, as well as present feedstock insights, market drivers, regulation trends and supplier strategies to stakeholders in support of company objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead strategic sourcing of Direct raw materials in collaboration with BUs and key stakeholders.
  • Develop deep knowledge of key market trends by researching market drivers, analyzing cost structures, understanding technical improvements in industry, and evaluating the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and present category profiles and strategies.
  • Leverage Direct spend opportunities across BU's and regions.
  • Oversee cost saving projects and opportunities.
  • Effectively work with cross functional teams to ensure business and technical requirements are captured and facilitate cross functional evaluation of new suppliers.
  • Drive RFP processes, bid analysis and TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations; oversee contract administration and compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver executive level business updates on strategic sourcing plans that highlight progress toward business objectives and changes in market dynamics.
  • Manage corrective actions for non-conforming materials and services.
  • Work closely with Site teams to manage supplier related disruptions to timely receipt of goods and services.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in Procurement, Business, or related field, with chemical industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in commodity trading, strategic sourcing processes, market analysis, strategy development, supplier relationship management and development of should-cost models.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to influence and work in cross functional teams, with agility and results-driven execution.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in Analysis and Presentation of data, using Microsoft, BI and ERP systems.
