At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Lighting Sector Kenall Team. This is a remote position reporting to Kenosha, WI. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will identify, organize, and execute strategic initiatives to remove risk across all aspects of the Sector supply chain. This includes identifying and qualifying alternate materials, alternate suppliers, and alternate means of manufacturing our products. Align existing and new product supply chains. Identify and qualify new suppliers in conjunction with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, and Purchasing functions. Provide direction to Engineering and Operations for new product introductions that align to supply chain strategy.

What Will You Do?

  • Identify and lead projects to align our production locations and their capabilities to the needs of the business.
  • Identify and lead projects to reduce our dependency on single source suppliers.
  • Provide direction on best suppliers and supply chain for new product introductions.
  • Identify and help qualify, in conjunction with quality organization, suppliers for new product introduction.
  • Develop a 3-year roadmap to reduce cost and risk across the entire supply chain.
  • Use data to justify roadmap, project scope, and investment.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and audits.
  • Participate in the consolidated corporate supplier bidding process.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications:

Required Skills

Education:

  • BS degree: Engineering, Supply Chain or Sourcing focus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or Continuous Improvement.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Positive attitude with a willingness to be a problem solver.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain best practices, multi-step strategic sourcing processes and/or category management strategies.
  • Proficient in the use of PLM, QMS, and ERP/ MRP systems.
  • Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to create and manage a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines, and control several projects at various stages of work.
  • Understand the implications of projects to product costing to ensure business goals are met.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and proven ability to efficiently research and summarize information effectively and make recommendations based upon analysis.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a variety of teams.
  • Highly collaborative to ensure the timely completion of projects.
