Job DetailsLevel Experienced Job Location Ogden - Ogden, UT Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage Up to 25% Job Shift Day Job Category Supply Chain Description The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead all assigned spend categories to meet and execute company sourcing strategies and safeguard supply and competitive pricing of materials that meet the company's quality and technical specifications. Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain, this individual will be responsible for developing and sustaining strategic vendor partnerships, executing vendor RFPs, contract negotiations, cost improvements, and raw materials budgeting. Core Responsibilities: •Manage assigned spend categories by developing category strategy plans, and strategic roadmaps with an extensive knowledge of the markets, suppliers, and stakeholder needs. •Utilize strategic sourcing process to drive continuous improvements in cost reduction and service levels for various facilities. •Manage and execute regular RFI/RFQ/RFP processes using detailed cost modeling, contract review and negotiations. •Collaborate with Contract Management & Risk Management team to ensure all parties comply with their obligations per agreement. •Develop & lead execution of strategies to achieve key organizational and departmental goals related to cost savings, process improvement, standardization, waste reduction, and other pertinent supply chain initiatives. •Identify new and/or alternate sources of supply both domestically and internationally. Recruit and manage suppliers that provide high-quality products and services at the best price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. •Monitor and analyze market conditions for raw materials and assigned categories. •Help improve existing work processes with the goal of improving collaboration, efficiency, and ease of execution. •Prepare and present written and oral reports for all levels of the organization. •Other ad hoc requests as requested by Leadership. •Up to 25% travel may be required. QualificationsQualifications and Education Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field or minimum 8 years related work experience in procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in a food & beverage environment. •Computer skills using Microsoft Office (strong Excel Skills) and strong database knowledge. •Demonstrates solid business acumen and knowledge of category management. •Strong negotiation skills, and ability to communicate effectively in building relationships with vendors. •Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management. •Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. •Demonstrates a critical mindset toward appropriately questioning and analyzing alternatives to meet corporate strategies. •Self-motivated desire to improve processes within the scope of responsibilities.
