Strategic Sourcing Specialist on the IT Software & Implementation Services team, you are responsible for strategically managing IT spend including negotiating agreements that optimize the total value for PPG in compliance with established Procurement policies. You will be responsible for overseeing spend, projects, managing supplier relationships, conducting RFPs, leading the selection of suppliers, assisting with strategy development / implementation, and monitoring compliance within an assigned set of categories. You will be based in Pittsburgh at the General Office and report to the Global Strategic Sourcing Manager-IT
Key Responsibilities: - Work with Functional and Business Stakeholders on sourcing initiatives related to IT Software & Services in USCA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC
- Proactively identify and initiate cost optimization projects
- Utilize various purchasing electronic tools including spend management software to submit RFXs, conduct auctions, and manage contracts
- Drive supplier performance through service level agreements
- Participate in preparing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies
- Fully comply with the company's purchasing policies
- Develop regional communication reviews with leadership, reviewing critical suppliers, upcoming projects, and an understanding of the forward business needs
- Manage contracts, deliverable and related payment schedule for the suppliers
- Work with the program teams to assess vendor performance and their delivery to the contractual terms and agreements
- Be active member of program team and participate in the required cadences
- Represent Procurement organization for the program and work internally with the procurement leadership to align on all procurement activities.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, relevant procurement qualifications or direct work experience in the field
- Minimum 3 years of strategic sourcing experience in IT Hardware, Software, or Services
- Proficiency with establishing contracts, monitoring performance and issue resolution
- Proactive, hands-on and results oriented. Embraces getting the job done and is a finisher / completer,
- Travel is less than 25% of the time.
