Job details:Position Title: Strategic Supply Management SpecialistDuration: 12 MonthsTime: Monday through Friday 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch Paid for time worked only.Pay Rate: $40/hr. $45/hr. on W2Project Overview:Supply Chain Management team currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to support commercial procurement strategies and execute commercial negotiations on Major Projects such as clean energy development and Reimagine CanalsJob Functions & Responsibilities
- Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, consultants in support of service agreements for clean, renewable energy construction projects, maintenance, and operations.
- Track supply chain requirements, conduct sourcing and competitive bidding processes and negotiate agreements.
- Collaborate with the operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position their pipeline of renewable energy projects.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of current market conditions and their potential impact on cost, lead time and availability of supply.
- Promote strict adherence to all Procurement and other applicable policies and procedures, and recommend modifications as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement around reporting, vendor management, systems, and other processes.
- Assist with supporting all systems and tools required by Procurement activities, including but not limited to systems related to purchasing and contract management, third-party vendor management and reporting.
Skills & Qualification:
- Working knowledge of materials and inventory management, logistics, quality assurance, quality control, maintenance, and operations.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Experience with SAP Procurement and Ariba. Ability to use independent judgement on procurement processes and strategy.
Skills:
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering --OR-- equivalent work experience/training.
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience with proven track record of achievement. Employee Benefits:
