Velo University, located in Pleasantville, NY, is dedicated to helping the baseball athlete improve their performance through safe and effective training methods. Founded by Dr. Nicholas Serio, our mission is to educate and empower athletes to become their own coaches and achieve their full potential.
Summary of Position:
The primary responsibility of this role is to aid the Performance Directors in order to ensure that all responsibilities related to the training of athletes are fulfilled to the standard expected of Velo University. The duties of this role include anything that will ensure each training practice accomplishes three main goals;
Reduce athletic injuries Improve athletic performanceProvide a place of psychosocial safety for each athleteEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in ensuring that all teams, programs, and athletes have a congruent (to our methodology) outline for their training.Participate a daily huddle with performance team members Effectively engage in systems for tracking athlete progression and feedback in an effort to recognize trends with regard to seasonality and how this affects athlete developmentAid in the on-boarding and scheduling of new and current athletes Assist in the upkeep of the programming database, inclusive of the video database.Participate in monthly team education opportunities Consistently working to assess and advance the status of the programs and methodologies to ensure the athletes are receiving the most up to date standard of training.Be versatile and continue to push the envelope with personal development and growth as both a performance coach, mentor to youth athletes, and team member at Velo University.Qualification:
