The String Sprouts program is one of the largest programs of the Omaha Conservatory. This innovative music program provides teacher training, materials, and curriculum for caregivers and music educators to begin teaching children the basics of playing a string instrument. Locally the program has 10+ locations in the Omaha metro area. The String Sprouts Manager will coordinate all aspects of the Omaha Conservatory's String Sprouts program and manage virtual and in-person teacher trainings nationally, as well as student enrollments. Compensation based on experience and skills. Benefit package is provided. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit or Business Administration or Music Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in administrative positions within the music or education sector Salary: $42,500 minimum commensurate with experience. STRING SPROUTS MANAGER -- Job Description Manage all aspects of the String Sprouts program, including communications with families, teachers, program partners, and national teaching partners. Other areas of focus include efficient processes for placement of students, maintaining student and instrument information, artist-faculty teaching assignments, national expansion, and all events associated with the String Sprouts program Manage all aspects of the String Sprouts program, including achieving high enrollment, high retention, and prioritizing the experience for students and teachers. Manage all aspects of events associated with the String Sprouts program, such as Sprouts & the Symphony, including faculty teaching/performing assignments related to these events Facilitate the gathering of data for outside program evaluators Assist interested parties both individual and community-based to initiate their own String Sprouts programs, either through virtual teacher training, student memberships, and cultivate strong relationships with potential partners. Submit artist-faculty pay, stipends and honorariums related to Sprouts programming Create educational content for large community concerts and events with input from the Programming Director. Oversee the schedule as well as schedule any extra paid help and/or volunteers needed for String Sprouts events Manage any commissioned composers and guest artists, related to String Sprouts program. Communicate with community partners and coordinate program execution in all locations Communicate with all teachers, assistants, substitutes, and staff as needed or directed by Programming Director Complete instrument processing and keep an accurate record for loanable instruments, repairs, and purchases in OCoM inventory Oversee maintenance and repair on instruments as outlined by Programming Director Coordinate substitute teachers and assistants for String Sprouts Assist with hiring and training of assistants and subs at the direction of the Programming Director Manage the content of the Sprouts websites and oversight of The Grove database to ensure accurate information for the program, including training faculty and staff with the data and Grove Systems Manage Sprout program materials and equipment to provide for teacher use Facilitate Sprouting Up ceremony equipment Manage Sprouts translations and interpreting Communicate any scholarship opportunities and/or timelines for String Sprouts to attend applicable OCoM programming. Submit a monthly report that includes key data for the Sprouts program (including enrolled students, attrition, outstanding instruments, repairs, etc.) Provide event/programming reports for String Sprouts to use in grants, fundraising efforts, and OCoM promotional materials - enrollments, number in attendance, etc. Meet regularly with Programming Director to report on program expansion efforts, budget issues, project updates, personnel matters, and goals for educational outcomes Meet regularly with the Administration and Programming Manager teams to coordinate excellent quality in the execution of all OCoM programs. Meet regularly with direct report, String Sprouts Coordinator to oversee their task load, provide regular feedback and annual review.
