Job Title: Mine- Truck DriverLocation: Ochlocknee, GADepartment: MiningReports To: Mining- Stripping SupervisorJob SummaryThe Truck Driver is responsible for operating a truck to move material between plants, warehouses, facilities, docks, or the mine in a safe manner obeying all rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation including maintaining a current valid Georgia Class A Driver's License.Job Duties* Operate truck in a safe and efficient manner.* Performs pre-operational equipment checks and monitors truck performance and gauges during operation.* Fuels and performs routine maintenance.* Loads truck while staying in compliance with environmental and safety guidelines and regulations* Utilizes hand tools to make minor equipment adjustments.* Keeps areas clean and free of clutter.* Follows all company, state and federal safety policies, rules and regulations rules and regulations.* Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), PWI (Process Work Instructions), AIQ processes, and similar documents.* Other duties as assigned.* Must act in accordance with WE CARE, participates in improvement activities.* Operate other heavy equipment utilized at the plant and in the mine after proper, documented training (excavator, tractor, dozers, haul trucks, backhoes, front-end loader, etc.)* Other actions as needed to satisfy company goals, process, and procedures to uphold values and inherent to Oil-Dri.Preferred Qualifications* Education:* Licensure/Certification:* Possess at least two years of driving experience.* Possess clean DMV record-no points in last three years.* Class A Driver's license. Hazmat certification desirable.* Ability to safely operate trucks and heavy equipment.* Work Experience:* Basic mechanical knowledge.* Knowledge of hand tools.* Training:* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Ability to operate and control all necessary equipment to perform job functions.* Carry/lift 50lbs.* Physical endurance to withstand heavy physical labor occasionally required of position.* Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, dust mask, protective coveralls, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment.* Must meet all physical requirements of the position.Hire Rate: $23.76 for CDL AOther details* Pay Type HourlyApply Now* Oil-Dri Corporation of Georgia, PO Box 200A, Ochlocknee, Georgia, United States of America
