All whileunderstanding that **together** we are even better.**Schedule:** Full Time**Shift** : Days**The community you'll be caring for:** _AdventHealth Riverview_· AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-newhospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.· The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time ofopening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.· This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot,four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community membersconvenient access to expert care.· AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services whichincludes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and women'scare.**The role you'll contribute:**The StrokeSepsis Coordinator promotes and provides exceptional care ofpatients through coordination, leadership and development of processes relatedto the Stroke and Sepsis Programs. The coordinator aligns program goals tomeet accreditationcertification standards across the continuum of care whileensuring high quality patient outcomes. This individual works collaborativelywith the Quality Director in a mutually supportive relationship which isessential to the success of the program. The position is responsible for thedata management and statistical analysis needed to develop, implement, monitorand report outcomes associated with the program as well as bringing Stroke andSepsis related knowledge and evidence-based outcomes to the facility and thecommunity it serves. The Stroke & Sepsis Coordinator is responsible for theStroke & Sepsis Program development, quality assessment, improvement andinterintra disciplinary communications. The Stroke & Sepsis Coordinator willwork collaboratively with all hospital and clinic personnel on performanceimprovement projects.**The value you'll bring to the team:**· Coordinates the development, implementation, review, and revision of Stroke& Sepsis standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.· Responsible for serving as registry content expert to accurately completeclinical registry element requirements, in compliance with national registryguidelines. Responsible for identification and enrollment of clinical registrycandidates according to national registry guidelines. Uses critical thinkingand independent judgement to determine appropriate categorization of dataelements and outcomes.· Incorporates knowledge of AHA Guidelines as well as emerging science andevidence-based practice into Stroke program standards.· Participates in Acute Stroke & Sepsis Code activations (when available) toensure protocols are followed· Leads and participates in performance improvement processes.Qualifications**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:**· Bachelors degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field OR Five yearsof acute care, critical care, neuroscience, or stroke related nursingexperience AND 2 years progressive leadership experience.· Registered Nurse· Masters degree in Nursing or other healthcare related field (APRN, etc.)· Experience as stroke coordinator or with accreditation of stroke programs· Basic Life Support - CPR CertThis facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal,state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
