Job Title: Structural DesignerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Structural Designer to assist project managers, architects, and engineers in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of technical support for various projects. The role involves developing and detailing 3D models in Autodesk Revit, preparing project drawings and construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD, and coordinating drawings with both internal and external clients. Additional responsibilities include assisting in shop drawing reviews, field evaluations, punch list site visits, and conducting code and zoning analysis and interpretation.
Responsibilities- Develop and detail 3D models in Autodesk Revit.
- Prepare project drawings and construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD for new design and restoration projects.
- Coordinate drawings with internal and external clients.
- Assist in shop drawing reviews.
- Conduct field evaluations and punch list site visits.
- Assist with code and zoning analysis and interpretation.
- Design and detail parking striping plans, signage, vehicular ramping, and parking technology.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- 2+ years of experience in coordinating architectural, structural, civil, and MEP designers in preparing drawings and specifications for concrete and steel buildings.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with signage layout and striping.
- Experience in preparing construction documents.
- Experience in assisting with parking striping and signage layout.
Work EnvironmentThe position involves assisting project managers, architects, and engineers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating technical support for projects. The work primarily entails the preparation of Revit models and AutoCAD drawings but also includes shop drawing reviews, field data collection, and other support functions. The role reports to two Sr Project Managers and operates in a hybrid office environment with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The position supports buildings and parking structure projects.
