Position Summary:

Guerdon LLC is seeking a talented Structural Drafter I. In this position you will be responsible for structural framing aspects of all assigned project(s), including the recommendation of structural solutions.

Responsibilities/Learned skills will include:

• Review construction documents for conformance with project and factory standards.
• Coordinate with Guerdon team at all project phases and disciplines.
• Generate BIM framing models for floor/ceiling and/or walls.
• Coordinate with other drafting disciplines for model clash detection.
• Generate fabrication drawings for in-house factory construction.
• Monitor progress of manufacturing in conformance with fabrication drawings and collaborate with manufacturing on all inquiries.
• Complete all additional tasks assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associates degree/diploma in drafting preferred or 5+ related work experience.
• Familiarity with basic elements of building/construction practices, wood framing a plus two + years of experience of BIM modeling software, Revit a plus
• Maturity, confidence, and ability to earn respect and trust from the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and reach, stoop kneel.
• Light to moderately lifting is required.
• Moderate noise (i.e., business offices with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
• Ability to work in shared space.
