And we want you.We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the BellFuture Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.This position is onsite in Fort Worth.Aircraft Structural Dynamics EngineeringBring your experience and ideas and help us develop the next generation of manned and optionally manned aircraft.Responsibilities will include analysis of complex structures, component and flight testing, and qualification.This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and subcontractors. You'll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.What you'll be doing as a Structural Dynamics Engineer:* Develop and assemble finite element models of the airframe, landing gear, vehicle systems, and weapons systems.* Conduct finite element modal and forced response analyses to assess air vehicle dynamic tuning, vibration levels, and oscillatory load levels.* Perform flight test data analysis to validate models and analytical predictions; provide design guidance for modifications and improvements based on analysis and tests results.* Assist in planning and execution of component tests for characterization of spring rates, mass properties, dynamic response, and component vibration qualification.* Support flight test planning and execution, including writing test plans, defining instrumentation and data acquisition requirements, assisting in telemetry monitoring, analyzing and interpreting test data, troubleshooting and resolving dynamics issues, and writing test reports.Skills You Bring To this Role* Dynamic analysis, including model analysis and forced response analysis* Dynamic testing of structures of vehicle components* Data analysis techniques (FFT, filtering, etc.)* We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate.What you need to be successful:* At least 2 years of experience in the aerospace industry, particularly rotorcraft, is preferred. Other industry experience may be considered with FEA and analysis experience.* Finite element analysis using NASTRAN/PATRAN* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Civil, or Aerospace engineering. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
