- Responsible for the oversight and development of heavy civil projects, focusing on related transportation-related structures (bridges, walls, etc.).
- Lead proposal development, scope of work, and fee schedule preparation.
- Supervise and mentor department and project staff and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and sub-consultants, agencies, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
- Participate in the review f structural engineering calculations and plans from preliminary to final design and develop and reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of structural experience required, primarily in surface transportation, and with a strong all-around theoretical knowledge of engineering principles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Strong commitment to client service, both internal and external, is required.
- A Washington SE is required.
- An established relationship with WSDOT and relationships with other municipal and regional agencies within the state is a plus.
- MSCE is a plus.
- Practical structural design experience, and a demonstrated ability to work to budgets and schedules.
