Position Summary:The Structural Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing structural engineering projects from inception to completion. This role involves leading project teams, maintaining client relationships, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and technical expertise, coupled with excellent project management skills.Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these metrics.
- Coordinate and manage communication among stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Leadership & Team Coordination:
- Lead project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, promoting professional growth and development.
- Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend client meetings, prepare and present project updates, and address any concerns or changes promptly.
- Technical Oversight:
- Review and approve structural designs, calculations, and drawings to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during design and construction phases.
- Quality Control & Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure designs and deliverables meet standards and specifications.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and manage resource allocation effectively.
- Prepare project financial reports and ensure timely invoicing and cost tracking.
