Job DescriptionJob Description:The Structural Steel Detailer/Checker will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for structural steel components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. This role also involves reviewing and checking the work of other detailers for quality assurance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings and erection plans for structural steel components.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop accurate steel details.
  • Review and check the work of other detailers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify project specifications.
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to detailing.
  • Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in drafting or structural engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other detailing software including Tekla
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel detailing and/or checking
  • Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
