The Structural Steel Detailer Position
Midwest Steel ensures that its entire team is well-rounded and understands the AS/RS and steel business from the ground up. The newest Detailer goes through a thorough training process and works directly alongside a manager with 20+ years' experience in the business
The Structural Steel Detailer plays a key role in ensuring project success by collaborating with the engineering team, clients, and stakeholders in a Design-Build capacity, managing the process from design to fabrication and field erection. This role involves creating precise shop and erection drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla. The Detailer also supports the shop and field teams by providing detailed sketches and responding to inquiries, assists in cost analysis for change requests, and continuously develops technical skills to maintain the team's competitive edge in industry technology.

This position will be based in Muncie, Indiana. The position may requires travel during the training period for the first 4-6 weeks, but then is expected to be office-based 90% of the time.
