Structured Products Valuation Specialist

Job Overview Valuations Specialist:

Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of CLO Valuations Specialist, a newly created position driven by the firm's growth. This individual will collaborate closely with the CLO team, as well as Operations and Finance, to enhance and manage the valuation processes for various structured products.

Compensation: $125,000 - $175,000 annually plus bonus.

Location: Greenwich, CT (In-office position)

Responsibilities as the Valuations Specialist:

  • Value CLO, ABS, and other structured products using market data and internal/external sources.
  • Develop and update valuation models to determine fair value ranges.
  • Assess and challenge third-party pricing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to enhance daily processes and internal systems.
  • Establish controls to ensure accuracy and independence of valuations.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Conduct P&L analysis and portfolio risk attribution with risk management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with external valuation vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the valuation process through technology and innovation.

Qualifications for the Valuations Analyst:

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
  • 5-8 years of experience in credit/hedge fund valuation, investment banking, or financial consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of CLO, ABS, and other structured products.
  • Proficient in using Intex and Excel for modeling CLO transactions.
  • Experience with public and private credit valuation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FASB, GAAP, IFRS, and other valuation guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting financial information clearly.
