Job DescriptionDuties of Position:
  • Provides high quality customer service: Greets visitors, answers telephone, and provides accurate information as appropriate
  • Schedules appointments in scheduling software to facilitate access to advising and orientation appointments in the student portal
  • Delivers individual and group orientation presentations
  • Guides students on virtual and/or in-person college and My Harper portal tours
  • Assists with call campaigns
Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer) Experience Requirements: A successful candidate must be able to maintain confidentially of the department. Prior customer service or office experience is preferred. Schedule Information: Will determine schedule based on student's availability. Must have some availability to work during the following hours: Sunday Monday 8 am - 7 pm Tuesday 8 am - 7 pm Wednesday 8 am - 7 pm Thursday 8 am - 7 pm Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm Saturday 8 am - 12 pm (only on final registration week) Maximum hours per week: 20 Special Notes: *A cover letter and resume may be directly attached to your application; however, this is not required. *Please be sure to update your application each semester to reflect your new availability. *Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Background Check for some positions*Employment sponsorship is not availableAbout UsWe are Harper College...the college in your community.The College was established by referendum in 1965 and opened September 1967.
