Coastal Bend College (CBC) is a dynamic, success driven Community College that is focused on student success across 10 counties in South Texas with the main campus in Beeville, TX and 3 other centers in Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton. We are searching for an engaging, passionate, Student Ambassador ( CBC Student Only) to help lead our College during this ever-changing Community College environment.Target start date: 4/15/2024 Employment Type: Non-Exempt Hourly Pay Rate: 12.00 - 12.00Primary Site Location: All Locations Open Until FilledEssential Functions: Facilitated through a partnership between the Division of Student Success and Engagement and the Coastal Bend College Foundation. The Cougar Ambassadors provide many relevant services for the college including but not limited to: •Have an affinity and love for Coastal Bend College •Provide tours for prospective students and their families, •Speak to school and civic groups/communicate with large groups •Assist with Preview Days, •Assist with Cougar Days •Office work within the Foundation Office •Assist with Special Events •Serve as phone-a-thon callers Ambassadors serve an average of 10 hours per week throughout the semester. Duties and Responsibilities: As Assigned by the Dean of Student Success or the Executive Director of the Foundation Travel Requirements: No traveling required. Environment: May require some outdoor work for CBC events. Minimum qualifications:G.E.D. or High School Diploma preferred. Preferred qualifications:Background and Experience/ExpertiseDetails Equals Preferred Qualifications: Ability to communicate at a high level, especially about Coastal Bend College and its programs. High level of office skills, including data entry. High level of discretion.
