Job Summary
Department of Information Technology is seeking one to two energetic students to develop a software tool to improve learning assessment efficiency in a project funded by an NSF-HSI grant. The students will work closely with supervising faculty member to develop, test, evaluate, and improve the software tool, and assist with generating assessment instruments and the collection and analysis of data.
Responsibilities
* With faculty guidance, develop, test, evaluate, and improve a software tool, which will improve student-learning assessment efficiency.
* Assist with generating actual assessment instruments using the tool.
* Assist with collecting and analyzing data
Required Qualifications
* Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College.
* Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
* Must be in good conduct standing with the Office of Student Integrity and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment.
* Professional demeanor with excellent teamwork skills.
* Ability to be highly organized, attentive to details, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Be familiar with Java programming and web development
Preferred Qualifications
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Have prior software development experience.
* Have a strong capacity to learning new technologies and knowledge
