Position Title: Student Assistant, GGU Worldwide

Department Name: GGU Worldwide

Position Reports To: Associate Dean of GGU Worldwide

FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $18.67

Benefits: Limited University's benefits

Days & Hours: Variable weekly schedule to be established by supervisor. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods.

Location: San Francisco

Summary: Provide administrative, organizational, operational, and research support to GGU Worldwide's Global Education Team, including executive assistance to the Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Director of Global Education. This position will include training in our CRM system, Recruit, Teams, Outlook, myGGU, and our SIS system, Colleague. Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Global education marketing, outreach, customer care, and activities

* Cross-cultural communication and coordination with GGU Worldwide partners, vendors, and San Francisco Bay Area community members

* Executive assistance and support to the Vice Provost and Director of Global Education

* Event organization and support (virtual, on campus, and off campus)

* Research and identification of companies, institutions, and vendors for immersions, study tours and trainings, etc.

* Coordinate with partners, vendors, and volunteers on GGU Worldwide event logistics (transportation, food, accommodations, tours, etc.)

* Organize and lead on campus, off campus, study tours and immersions

* Coordinate and liaise with Division of Student Success, Designated School Officials (DSOs), and international student groups and organizations

* Help recruit and supervise GGU Worldwide student volunteers and interns.

* Help design and disseminate promotional flyers and clean and close after events.

* Other administrative and research duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Education and/or Experiences:

Knowledge of: General office procedures. Global messaging apps including but not limited to Viber, WhatsApp, WeChat, Messenger. Understand what constitutes professional behavior and good teamwork.

Ability to: Communicate clearly and respectfully in written and verbal English, organize information, attention to detail and work independently and be creative. Work outside of normal business hours and time zones. Be positive, patient, caring, optimistic, and have a can-do attitude. Language proficiencies beyond English preferred.

Experience and Education: Previous office management and operations experience and basic computer/internet/social media experience. Previous international education/organization experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in public administration, political science, governance, business, education, international studies, psychology, development studies, economics, and other related fields preferred.
