WHO WE ARE:
The Health Center at Standifer Place (HCSP) is located on a beautiful 44-acre campus near Hamilton Place Mall in scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee. On our property are Skilled Nursing facilities, an Assisted Living Facility, and an Independent Living Facility. We also offer Adult Day Care Services at our Assisted Living facility and Assistive Home Services in the Community.
Residents have convenient access to services on the journey from short-term care to long-term care, all on one campus. Services include Alzheimer's and memory care in a secured environment, on-site professional medical services, fall and wound prevention programs, therapeutic recreation, and respiratory therapy. The rehabilitation department provides physical, occupational and speech therapy.
A multi-tiered staff of professionals provides comprehensive medical care. Licensed Physicians and Nurse Practitioners are available on a full-time basis. Registered nurses, assisted by LPN's and CNAs are scheduled 24/7. We have a dietary department that customizes nutrition plans specific for health issues to aid in recovery.

The Health Center at Standifer Place has partnered with The Academy of Allied Heath Careers to help you become a Certified Nursing Assistant and join a fast-growing career earning up to $20.00 an hour. The Academy of Allied Health Careers offers an accelerated program with day and evening classes available. Upon completion of the training program at The Academy of Allied Health Careers and background screening/drug test, you will be employed full time through The Health Center at Standifer Place.
CNA's are responsible for the following:
* Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
* Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
* Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
* Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
* Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
* Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
* As an important member of our interdisciplinary team, the CNA is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Standifer Place standards.
* Your daily responsibilities will be to deliver direct care to patients (bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting, etc.) as directed.
Requirements:
* Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program (Training provided by The Academy of Allied Health Careers)
* Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
* Able to be on feet 7-8 hours per day
* Able to lift 60-70 lbs. on a frequent basis
* Able to bend, stoop, squat, or twist frequently throughout the day
* Able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests from residents
* Able to speak clearly to adequately communicate with residents
* Upper extremity mobility which does not impede fine motor coordination and manual dexterity
* Report any medical conditions, such as communicable disease, that may interfere with providing direct resident care.
