Position Title Student Communications Assistant I _On-Campus FWS Level of Support Student Support I Position Type On-Campus FWS Number of Openings 1 Work Hours During Standard Business Hours (M-F 8am-5pm) Wage Per Hour 17.50 Division/School School of Medicine and Health Sciences Department Name 810613 PHYSICIANS ASSITANT PROGRAM Department BioPosition Specific Summary The Dept. of Physician Assistant Studies is looking for a FWS student to edit a podcast ~8 hours weekly. You will work remotely, using Adobe Audition and Riverside, which will be provided. Prior experience with Adobe Audition is strongly preferred. You will be working with raw audio files from the host and one or more guests and will compose a professional MP3 file ready to be uploaded to podcast platforms. Responsibilities will include: 1. Coordinating with podcast host to meet production deadlines 2. Working in Riverside to access raw files, uploading raw files to Adobe Audition, piecing together intro, interviews and outro to make a professional sounding end product 3. Communicating with podcast host (a GW faculty member) by email or phone when questions arise and when episodes are ready to be uploaded to podcast platform 4. Maintaining an organized database of files related to each podcast. Standard Position Description The student will provide basic support with print, web, social media, and/or other digital content. Tasks may include: posting and updating website pages and social media accounts; create written communications and/or newsletters, assist with graphic and/or video editing. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.
