Position Specific Summary engageDC is a capacity building program that connects GW students with direct and indirect service opportunities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. engageDC participants serve with community partners, providing service to meet the everyday needs addressed by their assigned organization, such as tutoring, meal preparation, or program support and coordination. They also will participate in a monthly community meeting with other engageDC and SMARTDC participants, as well as a monthly collaborative meeting with other participants at their specific service site. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to the specific needs of engageDC or their community site. Standard Position Description Through community engagement programs students serve with community organizations in the District of Columbia. Students provide service to meet the everyday needs addressed by their assigned organization, such as tutoring, meal preparation, or program support and coordination.
