Job DescriptionPTBS 50200 MSK1-Lab AssistantRequirements/Qualifications:Graduate student in good academic standing, effective verbal communication skills, punctual, takes initiative, self-motivated.Purpose of the job: support course instruction by conducting scanning exam check-outs, supervising open labs, reading/providing feedback for SOAP notes, serving as patient for MSEE practical's as needed. NOTE: this will NOT include support during labs this fall.Course Needs:4 TA's: Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons for open labs; flexible time for other responsibilitiesPTBS 50300 Soft Tissue Palpation and Examination - Lab AssistantRequirements/Qualifications: Graduate students with a passion for manual therapy who received a B+ or better in the soft tissue and peripheral joint mobilization courses. Student should be highly motivated, professional, and possess exceptional verbal communication skills.Purpose of the Job: Assist in soft tissue labs, demonstrate techniques, answer student questions, participate in oral/practical exams, and independently supervise one open lab per week (TUE, WED, THU, or SUN)Course Needs: PTBS 50300 Section 2: Monday 1-2:50PTBS 50300 Section 3: Monday 10-11:50PTBS 50300 Section 4: Monday 3-4:503 TA's to assist in labs and supervise one open lab per weekPDPT 60200 Neuroscience - Lab AssistantRequirements/Qualifications:Graduate Year II physical therapy student in good academic standing, effective verbal communication skills, punctual, takes initiative, self-motivated, strong interest in helping students learn about neuroscience and neuroanatomy.Purpose of the job: Assist with neuroanatomy labs, assist faculty instructor with review of pre-lab assignments, work with small groups to answer questions during labs, supervise open labs, clean lab space and tools, maintain specimens and brain models, set up and proctor lab practical exams, and help with supplementary lab modules (virtual reality, 3D printing, Anatomage table, etc.), as needed.Course Needs:Lab section 02: Wednesdays, 3:00-4:50 pm.Lab section 03: Wednesdays, 10:00-11:50 am.Lab section 04: Wednesdays, 1:00-2:50 pm.6 TAs total:- Two TAs for each lab section (Sections 2, 3, and 4).- Each TA up to 3 hours per week = lab (2hr) + open lab + lab prep + other tasks; workload per week may fluctuate (i.e., less hours in less busy weeks, more hours in practical exam weeks)PDPT 60300 MSK II: Spine Examination and Rehabilitation- Lab AssistantPurpose of the job: Assist in Musculoskeletal II: Spine Examination & Rehabilitation labs, demonstrate techniques, answer student questions, participate in practical exams, and independently supervise one open lab per week.Requirements/Qualifications: Grad Year II student with a passion for the management of spinal conditions and clinical reasoning who received a B+ or better in the Spine Examination & Rehabilitation course and is in good academic standing. Student should be highly motivated, professional, and possess exceptional verbal communication skills. Students will serve in one lab session and independently supervise one open lab session per week.Course Needs: PDPT 60300 Section 2: Tuesdays 1-2:50 + 1-hour open lab (Time TBD) (1 student)PDPT 60300 Section 3: Tuesday 3-4:50 + 1-hour open lab (Time TBD) (1 student)PDPT 60300 Section 4: Thursday 2-3:50 + 1-hour open lab (Time TBD) (1 student)PDPT 60400 Neuromuscular Foundations (NMF) Lab AssistantPurpose of the job: The TA will host open labs based on their availability to review lab tests and measures and answer questions from students.Requirements/Qualifications: : Grad Year II student who has a love for neuro who received a B+ or better in NMF.
