Student Employee - Campus Safety Officer $12.00 per hour
* Position Purpose
Provide support and assistance to the Hocking College Police Department while working as a student and gaining valuable experience in the law enforcement profession all while maintaining high moral standards and a sense of personal integrity.
* Duties and Responsibilities
* General patrol of campus properties
* Issuing parking citations as needed
* Issuing tobacco citations as needed
* Proving motorist assistance including vehicle unlocks and vehicle jumpstarts as needed.
* Locking and unlocking campus buildings and rooms as needed.
* Delivering official campus documents as needed.
* Communicate effectively and coherently over law enforcement radio channels while initiating and responding to radio communications.
* Maintains professional skills and attitudes (follow policies, how initiative, prioritize, work safely, arrive promptly, attend regularly, maintain professional image and attitude)
* Communicate effectively (reading, writing, speaking, listening skills)
* Demonstrate learning and critical thinking skills (analyze, evaluate, use logic, and establish goals.)
