  • The Student Engagement Coordinator will report to the Director of Student Affairs and be responsible for fostering student engagement through programs and services focused on student development, governance, leadership and service.
  • Develops and implements department initiatives focused on advancing student engagement and success. Supervises the Engage Team (student programing board) and maintains Student Affairs' promotion of engagement opportunities through social media platforms, monthly newsletters, and weekly forecasts.
  • Assists with development and implementation of department's leadership and service programming. Serves as point of contact in planning and partnering for university-sponsored events focused on student engagement (Kick-Off, Welcome Week, Homecoming and Family Weekend, etc.). Advise FSUPC chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa. Negotiate contracts for review and approval and manage purchasing/travel cards for engagement initiatives, including student groups, intramural sports, etc.
  • May serve as a Student Conduct Authority for student conduct at the discretion of or in the absence of the Director of Student Affairs. Participates on University and division committees and task forces. Attend workshops, training, and conferences for student and professional development. May teach orientation or leadership courses.
  • Plan and implement student and student organization recognition programs that promote engagement, school pride, leadership, service, and other applicable priorities. Assist colleagues with student recognition efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, preferably in student affairs or higher education administration.
  • Experience working in student affairs.
  • Experience advising students and facilitating co-curricular programming in a higher education setting.
