TheStudent Engagement Specialistswith the Promise Zone school-based initiative, collaborate with school teams to proactively identify and provide support to students who demonstrate a need for social, behavioral, and mental health support.Student Engagement Specialistsconnect with students by implementing trauma-informed and skill-focused interventions that provide growth opportunities in an inclusive school-based setting.Student Engagement Specialistshave an opportunity to expand their professional influence and develop further in their careers while impacting lives and strengthening the community.CCSI is partnering with Onondaga County Children and Family Services to hireStudent Engagement Specialistsfor the school-based Promise Zone Program.These positions are employed by CCSI and work on behalf of Onondaga County Children and Family Services.In this role, you will beProactively identify students in need of social, behavioral, and mental health support and connect those students with opportunities for growth and development within a school's multi-tiered system of support.Implementing intervention strategies as developed and shared with the school support teams.Monitoring the effectiveness of interventions and making adjustments as needed.Engaging students and families to foster positive home-school connections.Collaborating with school administrators, social workers, and other school team members to ensure service expectations are met.Serving as a resource to faculty regarding social and behavioral concerns of youth.Supporting the implementation of a culturally inclusive and supportive school climate that centers on the voices and needs of youth.Conducting other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducational Requirements:A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, or related field with 2 years of professional experience working with school-age youth, OR equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart ( ).Additional Requirements:Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.Full vaccination against COVID-19 virus.
