The Assessment of Student and Instructor Experience (ASIE) unit within the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) at UCLA provides assessment services that assist university leaders, departments, and instructors in evaluating and improving student learning experiences. The unit also supports assessment needs for internal and external projects under the direction of the ASIE Director and the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. The Student Experience and Assessment Project Analyst works alongside the assessment team to advance the TLC's mission by assisting with project-related tasks that support pedagogical practice and teaching effectiveness for state and grant-funded initiatives.

The Student Experience and Assessment Project Analyst assists in creating and refining tools for project assessments, such as surveys, tracking methods, and interview protocols, helping document the impact of funded projects. The incumbent aids in collecting and analyzing data, preparing summaries and visual reports, and sharing key findings with stakeholders. Key duties include:

* Supporting various administrative and logistical tasks as assigned to ensure smooth project execution

* Assisting in the development of study plans, timelines, and information collection tools (e.g., surveys, rubrics)

* Contributing to data visualization, presentations, and reporting for campus and external partners

* Supporting participant recruitment as needed

* Additional duties and special projects as assigned.

* UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

3 to 5 Yrs of Experience Minimum of three years of professional work experience. (Required) Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. (Required) Masters, Ed.D, Ph.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. (Preferred) Experience in student learning and curricular assessment in higher education. (Required) Skill in engaging university faculty and other nontechnical audiences in meaningful discussion about data and statistical results as it relates to teaching and classroom assessment; experience building consensus among stakeholders leading to educational reform at course, program, and/or department level. (Required) Ability to design and administer surveys in an educational setting. (Required) Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills. (Required) Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students of differing social, educational, economic, technical/nontechnical backgrounds. (Required) Ability to work independently, be flexible, and pay attention to detail while keeping in mind the overall TLC mission. (Required) Ability to be a productive, collegial contributor to and leader of diverse teams of professionals in pedagogy, assessment, and institutional research. (Required) May be eligible for remote or hybrid schedule. (Required)
