Position Summary

The Student Government Association Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of student data and facilitating leadership training for students. This role involves providing comprehensive case management for leadership students, developing community service opportunities, and coordinating with other centers to administer the Student Government Association. The specialist also evaluates student performance, mentors students, and maintains high-quality programs and services to meet student needs.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure compliance with integrity guidelines and procedures regarding student data

+ Plan and facilitate leadership training instruction for students

+ Provide individualized case management for leadership students to ensure their progress and retention

+ Develop and coordinate community service opportunities for students

+ Evaluate and document student performance using the case management system

+ Select and train students for leadership roles

+ Administer the Student Government Association in collaboration with other centers

+ Participate in the instruction of the Extended Training Day program

+ Mentor and model Career Success Standards for students

+ Communicate effectively with students and staff, providing timely information and support

About Brunswick Job Corps Center

The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Qualifications

Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school required. Bachelors Degree from an accredited school preferred. Post-High School leadership, or related, training courses preferred. Previous Job Corps or related program experience required. Must have strong facilitation skills to deliver training programs to students. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements.
