Student Information Systems / Data AnalystJob Locations: US-OH-WPAFBID: 2024-8848Category: Information TechnologyType: Regular Full-TimeOverviewCredence Management Solutions, LLC, is seeking a Student Information Systems Program Analyst/ Data Manager who will be primarily responsible for supportingthe Air Force Institute of Technology Office of Registrar and Student Services (AFIT/ENE) at WPAFB, OH.The mission of the Office of Registrar and Student Services (ENE) is to support the Graduate School of Engineering and Management by fulfilling administrative record keeping functions as they relate to registration, student academic records, and course scheduling. To fulfill that mission, the Office of the Registrar has established the following goals:To serve the Graduate School in an attentive and cordial manner.To provide a well-coordinated registration process that is student-oriented and efficient.To maintain academic records that are accurate, easily understood, and available in a timely fashion.To supply concise information regarding academic policies, transfer credit acceptability, grades, and graduation certification.AFIT/ENE develops and provides technical expertise, reports, and analyses of data to enable the Offices of Admission and the Registrar, among others, to achieve their missions of supporting students, faculty, and staff at the Institute.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:Utilize the Datatel (now Ellucian) Colleague Student Information System (SIS) and the SAP Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) SIS to extract and analyze data and prepare reports for academic and administrative staff within AFIT/EN.Prepare new reports in such a way that designated users can produce them as needed by changing the selection data to match current requirements.Acquire knowledge of the structure of the Colleague and SLcM software to enable analyses of AFIT processes and prepare recommendations for system modifications and process improvements.Implement recommendations made to ensure the software performs at maximum efficiency to meet the EN mission requirements.Knowledge of Colleague and SLcM rule writing requirements to enable the inclusion of rules where necessary to produce desired results in the development of process definitions.Prepare presentations using user documentation and training materials to conduct training sessions with appropriate staff members, including ENER staff, departmental administrative support personnel, heads, and deputies, faculty, and students.Responsible for managing all aspects of the Datatel (now Ellucian) Colleague Student Information System and the SAP Student Lifecycle Management system (SLcM), including training, managing security protocols, data migration and validation, testing and debugging new software patches and releases, developing reports and performing statistical analyses, and providing input on ways to use the system more cost-effectively.Communicate closely with AFIT Computer Support (SC) to ensure issues associated between the Oracle system and Colleague are solved quickly and efficiently.Work with the Director of Student Services to prepare all-call rosters, distinguished graduate reports and provide all data related to the International Student Program.Knowledgeable about and has extensive hands-on experience with the functionality of the Ad Astra room and class scheduling software and the On-Base document management software.Work with various academic departments, the Offices of Academic Affairs, Institutional Research, and other personnel to provide data-mining services whenever requested and develop written training materials as needed.Use Colleague to assist in the maintenance of academic policy and procedures and maintain weekly project reports for the DAR.Education, Requirements and QualificationsClearance: Must have and maintain eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC), including favorable completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).Bachelor's degree in higher education or related field.Extensive, hands-on work experience with the HHQ-directed Student Lifecycle Management system (SLcM) and Datatel (now Ellucian) Colleague student information system, including enrollment management functionality, file structure, and coding mechanisms.Hands-on higher education experience in enrollment management, student services, institutional research, and academic affairs functions.Demonstrated proficiency in Business Objects' Info view.#J-18808-Ljbffr
