Overview

We are seeking students from various backgrounds for an Internship program with multiple departments within Orange County Government. The incumbent(s) will assist with various research projects, data entry, reporting and office administration tasks while receiving valuable on-the-job training. The selected candidates will be required to commit to working 20-25 hours per week.

Representative Duties

* Supports day-to-day operations of assigned Division.

* Conducts research on various topics and gathers relevant information.

* Assists with creative projects and data-gathering for reports using Excel, Publisher, and other software programs.

* Provide status updates upon request.

* Assists with process documentation and process improvements.

* Reviews and audit department specific documents for accuracy.

* Assists with photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational school. (Proof of enrollment will be required if you are selected for an internship).

* Ability to work 20-25 hours per week.

Preferences

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Strong Organization and Interpersonal skills.

* Possess high attention to detail and ability to work independently.

* Ambition, strong work ethic and open to new ideas.

* Self-starter with problem solving skills.

* Must be a career oriented individual.

Salary Information

$15.30 - $16.32 Per Hour

Educational Requirements
