**Position Title:** Student Intern - Engineering (Summer 2025)

**Position Purpose:**
This temporary position provides engineering assistance to Dry Fork Station (DFS) staff, along with being an on-site liaison to gather information for headquarters (HDQ) engineering projects.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Perform lower skill level modification work order engineering projects.
+ Verify redlines of modifications per the DFS Management of Change procedure.
+ Assist with field coordination of contractors.
+ Assist with system performance testing.
+ Perform inspections of power plant systems as opportunity provides.
+ Perform job scope writing for external contractors.
**Qualifications** **:**
+ Enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, or energy systems engineering program, with sophomore year completed; or
+ Recently completed a four-year Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited Engineering program.
+ At least 18 years of age.
+ Minimum 2.5 grade point average, preferred.
+ Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
+ Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
+ A valid driver's license.
+ Resume and unofficial transcript required.

**Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:**
This position requires constant standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, reaching above and below shoulder level, kneeling, crawling, hand coordination; occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 60 pounds and the use of a keyboard/computer. This position also requires finger dexterity, good hearing, and color vision. It also requires the ability to analyze data/reports and conduct research; implement recommendations; develop plans, procedures, and goals; and present information to others. The incumbent may be required to work under pressure due to conflicting priorities and deadlines. This position occasionally may work in conditions of dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, and confined areas. Must be able to work up to heights of 150 feet and access all areas of the plant site. Must be able to travel, either by operating a motor vehicle or traveling by Cooperative or commercial plane. Equipment operated includes computers, telecommunication devices and test equipment, as needed. The incumbent will need to be respirator qualified.
**Wage:** $26 per hour
