This will include preparing media and transferring cultures from old to new agar slants using sterile technique. Other tasks include washing laboratory glassware, general laboratory maintenance and assistance with day-to-day operations at the Chlamydomonas Resource Center. Available hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm, 10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule. Please indicate your work study status on your resume/cover letter. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Major in in the biological sciences or a related field. Must be proven meticulous, reliable and have good organizational skills. No previous laboratory experience necessary. We will train all new students in the lab.
