Applying through the State of Idaho's external career website will cause duplicate profiles and will slow the processing of your application for a new position.About the Agency: The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides leadership, administration, and coordination for programs in secondary and post secondary career technical education (CTE) and adult education across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho's efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers.Summary: Student Leadership Managers engaged in shared leadership and management of their assigned Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO)(s). This position is part of the Student Leadership Team and reports to the Director of Student Leadership. Travel is required throughout the year.Key Responsibilities:+ Provide statewide leadership and advocacy for all Idaho supported CTSOs, specifically Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Technology Student Association (TSA) at this time.+ Work cooperatively with other Student Leadership Managers, Program Quality Managers to provide oversight and technical assistance to local schools and technical colleges related to student organization development and management.+ Collect relevant CTSO data to ensure compliance with state requirements.+ Serve as the liaison with the relevant CTSO national association.+ Manage organizational budget(s) and resource allocations, as required.+ Coordinate and manage all state sponsored CTSO Student Leadership related conferences and trainings, withing state policy requirements; including budget, records, setup, conference resources and activities, competitive event setup and secure judges, secure venue and equipment; work with CTSO boards where applicable.+ Work cooperatively with stakeholders e.g. CTSO boards, teachers, administrators, professional groups, businesses/industry representatives, schools and colleges for CTSO yearly planning and communication, event planning and implementation, and other related activities.+ Ensure effective communication between CTSO state officers, CTSO advisors, and CTSO boards, including internal Program Quality team.+ Provide guidance and oversight to CTSO state officers regarding professionalism, etiquette, leadership, protocol, and other CTSO expectations.+ Provide supervision and guidance related to CTSO state officers as determined by CTSO board policies.+ Provide state representation and oversight of CTSO state officers at all leadership activities and national conferences.+ Manage all Division required activities related to CTSOs and CTSO state officers coordinated under Program Services unit.+ Supervise, guide, and mentor support staff.+ Regular in-state travel throughout the year and occasional out-of-state travel to national events is required.+ Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :+ Bachelor's degreeORequivalent professional experienceORa combination of relevant education and experience.+ Have a minimum of three years teaching experience in a career technical education (CTE) program area (or equivalent work experience).+ Candidates must effectively demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following areas: organizational leadership and management; strong interpersonal and organizational skills; be able to work effectively with stake holders; supervision, budget, and contract administration; interpretation of state and federal law; written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills.+ Candidates must have a strong understanding of event planning, coordination, and implementation.+ Candidates must have demonstrated experience of working with students or student organization leaders.Preferred Qualifications:+ Master's degree OR equivalent professional experience OR a combination of relevant education and experience.+ Five or more years of teaching experience in a CTE program area (or equivalent work experience).+ Three or more years of CTSO experience (volunteer, advisor, board member, etc.)Application Procedure: Prepare a cover letter, resume, and a list of references with at least two former or current supervisors and attach to your candidate profile.Recruitment Contact: Questions about the position or the application process can be directed to Kayla Otto, Human Resource Business Partner I, at (208) ###-#### or[email protected].Special Notification: This position is exempt from the rules of classified service under the provisions of Section 67-5303, Idaho Code.
