This 12-month, full-time, live-in Student Services position is responsible for the overall direction and supervision of WNCC's Residence Life functions, which includes the 300-student residence hall operation on Scottsbluff's campus, and the overall management, planning, administration, and evaluation of the Student Engagement programs and services, which focus on developing and supporting a student's intellectual, civic, social, cultural, spiritual, and physical growth through co-curricular activities, events, and programming. The position is responsible to perform the Residence Life duties in their assigned residence hall(s) and to assist in the other residence hall(s) as needed, including at the Sidney Campus if requested. The position is responsible to perform the Student Engagement duties for all WNCC students including residential, non-residential, at the Alliance, Scottsbluff, Sidney Campuses, and online. It requires evening, overnight, and weekend duties, travel between campuses, on-call, and appropriate handling of emergency or crisis situations as they arise.

* Residence Life Daily Operations
* This is a live-in position and requires on call responsibilities to assess and manage crisis intervention and response using conflict resolution skills
* Manage the daily operations of residence life for the assigned hall(s), including the housing assignment process, all openings and closings for students, facilities concerns, keys and ID access, and budgets
* Supervise a team of Resident Assistants including training, evaluating, and leadership development.
* Resident Assistants Training Processes
* Plan and implement a training program for RAs for each semester and as needed for new hires.
* Book rooms, finalize presentations, organize activities, and ensure meals are planned for all RAs and Residence Life staff for trainings and development opportunities
* Lead student staff in the development of programming efforts for residential students using the Student Life Curriculum for Community Development standards
* Supervise a team of Bubble Workers (front desk student staff)
* Assist in maintaining data necessary for federally mandated reports and for internal operational needs such as housing trends, occupancy reports and resident's satisfaction
* Oversee the complaints and conduct processes for the specified building(s), serve as a hearing officer, finalize outcomes and sanctions for incidents and concerns
* Use the Maxient conduct system to track incidents, cases, concerns
* Student Engagement
* Assist the Director with all events, including weekly events, Welcome Week, End of Year BBQ, Homecoming, and other events
* Provide support, advising, programming, and training for students and student organizations through educational/programmatic opportunities
* Supervise the student engagement student staff at activities and locations and approve time sheets, ensuring the hours are accurate
* Schedule student staff to ensure proper coverage and assistance at events
* New Student Orientation
* Assist in the planning and implementation of the program
* Collaborate with Student Services team members at Alliance and Sidney to provide a positive student experience for all incoming students
* Collection of data for assessment efforts
* Assist, contribute, and lead efforts in the following areas:
* Student Leadership and Student Organizations
* Wellness Activities
* Host Family Program
* Food Pantry
* Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience:
Two years of increasingly responsible experience in housing, campus activities, student leadership development and/or student engagement offices, and experience in student conduct, orientation, alcohol and drug education, large and small event planning preferred. Residence Life experience preferred.
License or Certificate
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC's vehicle insurance.
