Position DetailsPosition Information Posting Number Stu192P Working Title Student Lifeguard FLSAStudent Pay Level B Advertised Pay Rate 11.00 Position Status FWS/REG Department Student Emp Wellness Center Job Summary/Basic Function Supervise the activities of swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations.Warn swimmers of improper activities or hazards.Rescue persons in distress or in danger of drowning and provide rescue breathing, CPR and First Aid.Notify the Aquatic Coordinator of any accidents, rescues, or other pertinent information.Successfully and positively perform within work team dynamics, including willingness to cover shifts in other areas of the building.Attend all scheduled shifts and in-service training.Maintain attendance and activity record and complete required reports.Assist in cleaning and maintaining the pool, locker rooms, and related areas and facilities.Minimum Qualifications Current accredited professional rescuer CPR and First aid/Lifeguard certificationMust be a registered/enrolled student in good standingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications Certified Water Safety InstructorCertified Pool OperatorExperience in a similar aquatic settingPosting Date 06/25/2024 Close DateSpecial Instructions SummaryJob Duties
