Location: Catonsville,MD, USA
The purpose of this position is to serve as a point of contact for students for community and outreach services. Serving as a resource referring students with needs in areas such as housing, food, transportation, and counseling.
Bachelor's degree required, degree in social work, counseling or related field preferred. Master's degree preferred. Two years' experience working with vulnerable populations' required.
* Refer students with identified needs to on and off campus community services and organizations.
* Serve as resource for faculty and staff who identify students with basic needs in areas of housing, childcare, tutoring, studies, bill paying, emergency funds, etc.
* Assist in developing a Resource Guide for students with housing, food, transportation, and counseling needs.
* Provide advocacy and assistance in support of student issues and challenges.
* Assist students with the initial screening process for public assistance
* Provide tracking and follow up on student referrals to organizations and services within and outside of the college.
* Identify electronic links for services for students: transportation, college web page, and community outreach webpages.
