Part-time in-home student nurse or Home Health Care Aide (CNA/PCA) has an opportunity to work with a 30-year-old female client in Warwick, New York.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
*Provide personal attendant/companionship services to the client at her residence.
*Maintain a safe, secure, clean, and orderly environment for clients.
*Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
*Plan and prepare daily meals and assist with feeding.
*Assist with shopping for groceries or personal items.
*Perform light housework when such activities are related to the client's independent living and she cannot perform such activities alone.
*Drive the client to appointments, outside/social activities, and errands using the client's vehicle.
*Provide stimulation and entertainment, including conversation, reading, games, crafts, scheduling activities, outings, etc.
*Provide support, comfort, and companionship.
*Complete shift logs during each shift thoroughly and accurately.
*Respond quickly to emergencies by notifying appropriate persons and calling 911 as necessary and appropriate.
*Make medications available to the client as directed by her medical professionals, never to dispense or administer medication.
*Perform other duties as assigned in support of care and companionship for clients.
EXPECTATIONS
Maintain regular and consistent attendance. If you are unable to work your scheduled shift or need to make changes to your schedule, this must be communicated directly to and approved by the designated person.
Limit personal calls, text messages, social media, etc. to breaks except in case of a family emergency or if it relates to the client.
Phones should be silent and put away while working, especially with the client and when there are tasks to be completed.
Must exhibit professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills in all interactions.
Must demonstrate a high level of autonomy, including completing and communicating tasks without reminders.
Providing proactive support to the client.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to communicate information concerning the health and condition of the client clearly and concisely.
Ability to work with the client in a patient and supportive manner.

Possess a valid driver's license. The employee must notify TEAM immediately if the employee's driver's license is suspended or revoked for any reason or if the employee is convicted of any crimes.
All hours must be recorded on the TEAM time sheet during each shift.
Working outside of the employees' scheduled hours without advanced approval is prohibited.
Physical ability to perform the job:
Lift, carry, and push up to 75 pounds.
Work while standing 30-50% of the time.
Physically respond quickly to sounds and emergencies.
Ability to perform the essential job duties and expectations with or without reasonable accommodation.
Adhere to all policies provided in the TEAM Employee Handbook and directions from the client and designated person.
Must have BLS certification or similar.
Position:
-looking to fill a day shift Wednesday 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday 12 pm-8 pm
Requirements:
-CPR/BLS certified
- experience as a LPN, Student Nurse, home health aid,CNA, or PCA
- Experience with hydrocephalus, multiple shunt revisions, spinal scoliosis, epilepsy, developmental delays, hemispheres, and stroke are a plus.
