Job Summary
The Student Nutrition Services Associate position encompasses several jobs throughout the operation, including Utility and Caf Line. Some positions involve customer service in the retail cafeteria, and others are support jobs like dish room, general cleaning, and putting away stock. Utility positions do not require staff members to clean bathrooms or patient rooms. While food service experience is helpful, we offer training and development, with the opportunity for advancement to applicants who demonstrate potential.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Current high school student
Experience: No Experience necessary
ServSafe certification preferred but not necessary
Prior food service experience preferred for Caf Line positions

Other Skills:
Provide high level of customer service in retail operation, both while serving from the hot food line, and while operating a POS/Cash register
Ability to speak and communicate effectively, and to be friendly, caring, and respectful to all within the organization
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Comply with all company, TJC, local, state, and federal regulations. Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights policies. Assist in achieving stated patient and customer satisfaction goals, and mission initiatives of the organization. Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate
Maintain high level of sanitation in all customer and service areas
Must be able to lift, carry, bend, and work while standing for long periods of time
Prepare coffee, package desserts, stock retail shelves/coolers, and fill buffet food items as needed
Process dishes, utensils, and kitchenware for sanitation in our modern dishroom
Receive freight, rotate stock in dry stores/coolers/freezers, and deliver supplies to other departments
