Description The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a part time Student worker to provide overall support to the Office of Education, Psychology Training Program, Academic Trainee Office and Medical Education. You must be a current UCLA Student and will provide general clerical and administrative support in this role. Duties can include: Data Entry Assist in event and meeting set up (AV /Tech Set up) Assist in collection of documents applicable to trainees. Assist in website maintenance. Filing, data entry, photocopying, and compilation of folders/documents. Maintain electronic files as requested. Sorting of mail and faxes. Deliveries and pickups across different campus offices. Assisting with maintaining supply inventory. Assist with the preparation of materials for special events. Answer and assist trainees and guests with questions and inquiries. Perform other miscellaneous tasks and assist with projects as requested/assigned. Assist during Internship Recruitment season. Assist with application processing, interviewer schedule availabilities, open houses, and faculty selection committee meetings (when we are back in the office.) Assist with ordering pagers, lab coats/scrubs, business cards, assign offices, phones, keys, passwords, door signs, printer hookups, mailboxes. Assist with alumni database maintenance. Other Duties Assigned Pay Range: Qualifications Must be a current UCLA Student Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact appropriately and effectively with faculty, staff and trainees. Skill establishing priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and meet deadlines. Computer knowledge including but not limited to, creating documents in word, spreadsheets, Internet and database applications, sufficient to produce reports and correspondence, and to oversee web-site maintenance Skill working independently within a collaborative team environment and following through on assignments with minimal direction. Strong organizational and communication skills Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. Demonstrated ability to learn and/or adapt to new systems. Ability to write clearly and effectively.
