Summary/Objective of Position:
Under the direction of the Director of Student Enrollment & Student Access, the Student Outreach & Recruitment Program Manager establishes programs that encourage students attending elementary and secondary school to develop academic and social skills and the interest to pursue post-secondary education. The Student Outreach & Recruitment Program Manager is also responsible for coordination of activities that invite K-12 students, educators, and families to share in Din College's educational opportunities and resources. The Program Manager develops and implements new, innovative programs that build bridges that begin in high schools to the college's First Year Freshmen Experience. The Program Manager collaboratively plans activities and programs, recruitment drives, and offers presentations in area schools and civic and community associations.

OVERSIGHT OF STUDENT OUTREACH & RECRUITMENT (40%)
* Provides Leadership, direction, and professional guidance to the recruitment staff and transfer specialist.
* Collaborates and coordinates with Director of Student Enrollment & Student Access on program planning, event planning, collaboration, staff professional development, and strategic outcomes.
* Coordinates Student Outreach & Recruitment processes and procedures for continuity and consistency of services and initiatives.
* Prepare and monitor the department's annual budget, and prepare the department's annual program plan.
OUTREACH INITIATIVES (40%)
* Coordinates the college's outreach functions which may include, but not be limited to, student recruitment, the development of relationships with K-12 districts, and the development of relationships with community entities from which potential students are recruited.
* Serves as an initial point of contact for members of the local community and local school districts desiring information about the college's resources generated from student recruitment and outreach efforts.
* Collaborates with other departments to provide information for necessary programs and services designed to assure students' access, ease of entry, and successful transition into college
* Develop materials for outreach and recruitment.
* Coordinates and participates in presentations to feeder schools and community entities, and conduct tours and presentations on campus.
* Prepares and assesses Service Area Outcomes, Program Review and other related outcomes for student outreach & recruitment services.
* Plans, implements, and assists in the administration of programs for school-age children and educators; which may include reading, math, arts, science, Native Language and culture, and other various workshop programs; in consultation with educators, develops study guides, lesson plans, training materials, enrichment programs and curriculum for the targeted audiences.
* Performs responsible, professional, and liaison work in facilitating the accessibility to outreach projects and training to school-age children and other community members by improving employee and public awareness of various services, activities, programs, plans, and projects.
* Coordinates and provides administrative and program support services for specialized college programs and performs related duties as required or assigned.
DATA REQUEST AND REPORTS (20%)
* Provides ongoing statistics for standard reports of the Student Outreach & Recruitment Program.
* Assists in developing and using a tracking and evaluation system to evaluate students' progress from their recruitment through enrollment.
* Leads the monitoring, collection, and reporting of student outreach and recruitment efforts connected with student equity and timelines; provides department leadership with student program data when needed.
* Implements, maintains, and manages electronic records of student surveys, data reports, recruitment efforts, and other outreach activities.
* Monitors the progression and contribution to Institutional Strategic Goals, Student Affairs Divisional Goals, and recommends program initiatives to align when necessary.
Other Duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Minimum:
* Bachelor's degree in education, social/behavioral science, or related field, plus two years of experience working with students in a Higher Education Setting. Must have experience in event planning, working with k-12 students, and college recruiting experience.
Preferred:
* Master's degree in education, counseling, higher education, or related field, plus two years of supervisory experience coordinating a Higher Education program.

Physical Requirements, Work Environment & Travel:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 35 pounds; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull heavier amounts of weight with or without assistance. to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Other Requirement(s):
Valid State Driver's License. The ability to speak Navajo is a plus. Must have fingerprint clearance, favorable background check, and ability to work in a school setting.
