Aspirus Inc has partnered with North Central Technical College (NTC) in Wausau, WI to offer a Phlebotomy Student Program for current High School Juniors and Seniors! The Phlebotomy Program offers a unique opportunity to develop skills while entertaining an early interest in the field of laboratory sciences. The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors who will not only receive Phlebotomy training but also gain practical experience at their worksite.
Course Details
* Classes start January 27, 2025 and end March 21, 2025 (no classes the week of March 26, 2025)
* Must be able to commit to the 8-week in-class course (two sessions available: 11am-2:30pm or 3pm-6pm)
* In this program, you will be offered a stipend amount of $5,000 (minus taxes) at the beginning of the course which is intended to cover living expenses so you can focus on the course, instead of having an additional job. Once you complete the program, you will be transferred into an hourly position at $16.00 an hour.
* Applicants must be able to attend on-site class at the NTC in Wausau, WI

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
* Program requires working a minimum of 450 hours and take related high school or college classes to enhance their worksite experiences.
* High school juniors and seniors from participating North Central Wisconsin School-to-Career Partnership schools are eligible to participate.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, background and reference check
