Join us as to help us carry out our mission of unlocking the power of learning, transforming lives.We are seeking a Student Success Coach (SSC) who will work to empower students to identify and achieve their educational, personal, and professional goals through coaching sessions and by connecting students with institution resources. In coordination with their Team Lead and Student Success Manager, the SSC identifies students who may be at risk of failing and/or withdrawing. The SSC proactively works with students and manages the coordination of support offered to them. The SSC will also provide support to students when preparing for the start of their academic program through targeted individual and group sessions, and interventions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing holistic support to students, including consistent monitoring of academic progress
  • Meeting regularly with identified students throughout their start with particular emphasis on helping the transition into their first semester
  • Developing relationships with identified students that encourage continuation of long-term coaching when necessary
  • Initiating short-term coaching as needed throughout the students' academic career.
  • Collecting and analyzing student success data for portfolio of programs served
  • Making recommendations on retention initiatives to Student Success leadership team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, minimum
  • Passion for education and helping people achieve their goals
  • Strong customer service background
  • Ability to research and reinforce higher education norms and institutional policies
  • Possess an understanding of the different phases of the student lifecycle
  • Capacity to monitor academic progress and provide support and guidance accordingly
  • Consultative approach to guide, support and encourage students through their online programs
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Capability to establish relationships over phone, text, and email
  • Exhibit strong positive attitude and ability to foster teamwork
