Position InformationWorking Title: Student Success CoordinatorPosition Number: FA337FLSA: ExemptAppointment Type: Full TimeSensitive Position: NoCampus Security Authority: YesChief Objective of Position: The Student Success Coordinator will support the University's student success initiativesby providing a variety of services and programs targeted at creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment for undergraduate students to improve retention, completion, and post-graduation outcomes.Work Tasks Assists with creation, implementation, and maintenance of student success orientation programs and support services for all undergraduate students.Assists with the instructional component of college transition courses as needed.Researches, develops, assesses, and implements best practices in student success support services.Provides support and programming for the Community Captains Program and Captains' Connection Program.Maintains a caseload of undergraduate students, conducting individual meetings and creating personal action plans for student success.Monitors the progress of at-risk students and develops intervention plans.Maintains drop in  hours for students needing immediate assistance.Develops, implements, and conducts workshops and programs to support student success.Participates in the Division's recruit back  program to encourage re-enrollment of students who have stopped out.Develops programs for special undergraduate populations to retain and support them to degree completion.Maintains detailed records of meetings and outreach activities.Stays current on student success literature and participates in professional development opportunities.Assists with the administration of assessments as needed.Assists with marketing and social media for student support services.Represents the Center at admission-related events.Assists in planning and supporting student success initiatives.Demonstrates exemplary customer service and a positive, professional attitude.Acts as a responsible employee with a duty to report incidents of misconduct.Follows workplace safety regulations and reports unsafe conditions.Performs all other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's) Verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.Ability to create and maintain relationships and build trust.Organizational and time management skills.Ability to master various computer applications.Ability to work effectively as part of a team or individually.Availability for evening and weekend programs.Knowledge of student success strategies. Required EducationMaster's Degree; or a Bachelor's degree and related experience that equates to an advanced degree.Experience Required Experience working with students in a mentoring, coaching, or advising capacity.
