Student Support Paraprofessional An ESS Student Support Paraprofessional will assist with the functioning of the daily school setting, providing excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be a team player, able to adjust quickly in change with positive attitude, that can handle multiple tasks at one time. Responsibilities
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. Clearly communicate and provide information and assistance to school administrators, teachers, staff, district personnel and families regarding SST, 504 and the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS). Coordinate the Student Success Team (SST) Work with district staff, psychologists, counselors, and special education personnel to communicate and support the SST, 504, and MTSS framework. Consult with site data teams and site SST/504 coordinators to provide support and recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations for general education students. Coordinate and schedule MTSS meetings, ensuring all necessary team members are involved. Gather and organize student data for progress monitoring, preparing reports to share during MTSS meetings. Facilitate MTSS meetings, assisting in the development of intervention plans and follow-up actions. Track the effectiveness of interventions and provide updates to staff and administration. Serve as the primary contact for 504 accommodation requests and ensure proper documentation and compliance. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure the effective implementation of 504 plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to MTSS and 504 plans. Assist in providing resources to staff regarding MTSS processes and 504 accommodations. Shows initiative and assumes responsibility for all aspects of job responsibilities. Performs routine duties and tasks with little or no direct supervision. Provides adequate supervision of students at all times. Acts in a professional manner and maintains a professional attitude towards the public and colleagues and exhibits the fundamentals of good public/customer service Complies with school, system, state, and federal regulations and policies, including the PSC Code of Ethics, as related to job requirements Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator. Qualifications Associates degree, two years of college credit (a minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours and a 2.0 GPA), or passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which includes in-service related to position Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities Knowledge of MTSS processes and 504 accommodation requirements is a plus, but training will be provided State/FBI Criminal History Clearance Drug Screen - Varies by District For frequently asked questions, click here .
